JAN-PRO Master Franchise Opportunities in Canada: Edmonton, Winnipeg, Windsor, St. Catharines – Niagara, Hamilton, Kitchener, Halifax
The Company
- JAN-PRO Franchising International, Inc. was founded in 1991.
- The Company began franchising Master locations in 1995.
- Currently JAN-PRO has over 90 Master Franchise offices in the US, Canada (8), GB and Ireland with over 7000 Unit Franchisees.
An Executives Business
- Our Master Franchise concept, with proven success, allows seasoned managers or sales/marketing executives to capitalize on the business of becoming a franchisor.
- The industry they are franchising in just happens to be cleaning
- The Master franchise sells and supports Unit Franchises within their exclusive territory during normal business hours.
- The Master Franchise office provides guaranteed customers, accounting, training, field support and marketing assistance - The Unit Franchisees provide the cleaning services to the customers.
Cash Flow Benefits to the Master Franchisee
The Master Franchisee derives their cash flow from the following areas:
- Sales of Unit Franchise Fees
- Royalty Fees on customer billings
- Management /Administrative/Insurance Fees on customer billings
- Additional profit on chemicals/equipment and other services
Why the Commercial Cleaning Industry
- The Franchise segment of commercial cleaning has a large growth potential, and is viable in any economy and in any major metropolitan area. It is a recurrent and predictable business with stable cashflows.
- Low non perishable inventory and fixed assets required to operate: cash management business.
- Commercial Cleaning is currently a $140 billion dollar + industry in US and growing.
The Jan-Pro Difference
- Our competitive advantage: it comes from quality and consistency because the people doing the cleaning – the Unit Franchisees – are committed financially in the results. How? Contracts are granted by the Master to Unit franchisees but they may lose their investment if they lose their accounts for unsatisfactory reasons.
Potential Questions
- “Commercial cleaning is an “unglamorous industry” – Not so. The Master Franchisee works in an office 9 to 5 managing the sales and administrative part of the business. The Unit Franchisees provide the cleaning services: the operation side of the business (and most challenging for a conventional company).
- “Why would anyone buy a Unit Franchise when they can go into business by themselves?” The Unit Franchise prospect does not want to procure customers or develop all of the systems needed to run a successful commercial cleaning business. They need the experience of a franchisor who is structured to do so.
- “Will my city have enough buildings to clean?” Yes! There is $200 of commercial cleaning per capita. JAN-PRO services the small to mid-tier market in commercial cleaning. This can be described as office buildings, car dealerships, banks, apartment complexes, retail stores etc.
- “Will I ever sell out my market with regard to potential Unit Franchisees?” No! With a minimum population of 400,000 people in most master territories the opportunity for Unit Franchise sales has no limits.
